thomas the train

eli has gone back and forth between drums and thomas the train for his gift for christmas morning for about a month. fortunately for us he settled on his heart’s desire for drums. (especially since we had already purchased them!). so kim and i both wondered if the thomas the train subject would come up after the initial excitement of the drums wore off. well, before we could even see how that would play out, aunt geri had already saved the conversation from ever taking place. she blessed eli with thomas and you can see the sweet surprise on this face. thanks aunt geri! you made eli’s day and it is prominently displayed for play in his room.

happy birthday jesus

mommy started a new tradition with eli this evening. a happy birthday jesus cake. we sang happy birthday to jesus and enjoyed some great cake. now the little boy is off to bedtime getting ready to enjoy his 3rd christmas. we are little excited about it to. stay tuned for surprise coming on christmas day.

a visit from florida family

we had the privilege of having uncle scott and cousin wesley this past weekend. eli was thrilled to have family visit. he loves to be around people, especially when they stay at the house. eli was sad to see them go….now he’s asking about aunt geri and cousin emily….ok ladies…you are next…eli is waiting. <grin>

gingerbread cookies at the pj’s and pizza party

eli had a little pj and pizza party at his church day care and just before the afternoon nap they hyped him up on gingerbread cookies with icing and sprinkles to boot. as you can see….who needs hands when it comes to eating pure sugar! yeah christmas!

there’s not much eli doesn’t enjoy. this thanksgiving we spent time with cousin matt who came over from camp lejeune in north carolina. he and eli had a great time making apple turkeys.
